Catatumbo Camp was founded by Alan Highton, based on his experience as a guide since 1987. Alan is recommended in the principal guide books on Venezuela.  
   
   The object of Catatumbo Camp is to promote tourism and humanitarian efforts towards the villages of the Catatumbo Delta, Venezuela.

​We have a camp on the Ologa lagoon, a small piece of paradise to the south of the Maracaibo lake. Its the best place to see the Catatumbo Lightning.
